What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 3:00 PM, check-out by 11:00 AM. For arrivals or departures outside those hours, just message Via at the time of booking — when possible, we accommodate.
Is there parking?
We don't have on-site parking — the Pelourinho is a historic district with narrow lanes. We point guests to paid garages 3–5 minutes' walk away, from R$ 40 per day.
How fast is the Wi-Fi for remote work?
Every suite has 100 MB symmetric fibre — fine for video calls, large uploads, and 4K streaming. Each suite also has a dedicated workspace.
Are children welcome?
Yes, with responsible adults. The suites contain antiques and delicate pieces — parents should weigh the fit. We don't keep cribs on hand, but we can rent one in for R$ 80 per stay.
Is the Pelourinho safe at night?
The immediate area around the suites — Praça da Sé, Largo do Pelourinho, Terreiro de Jesus — is patrolled 24/7 and lively until late. For areas further out at night, take an Uber: they're plentiful and cheap.
Can I book through Airbnb instead?
You can. But booking direct at viaavantgarde.com saves you the platform fees (typically 14–18% of the total) and puts you in touch with the host directly. Same apartment, same standard, better price.
